We are looking for College or University graduates interested in the outdoors and gaining valuable hospitality experience. We provide excellent training, fun team member activities, and opportunities to participate in our environmental programs. This is an ideal opportunity to live, work, explore and play in Canada’s Rocky Mountain National Parks.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Sous Chef. The Sous Chef is part of the Cathedral Mountain food & beverage team responsible for food and guest service in the dining room, patios and team member meals. Main duties include preparing and cooking meals, ordering, as well as, inventory control, assisting with the training of team members, menu development, maintaining a positive team oriented work environment. The Sous Chef must have a strong working relationship with the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef is required to oversee the food & beverage operations as a whole and report directly to the General Manager, when the Executive Chef is away.

Qualifications:

* minimum 2 yrs culinary experience, previous supervisory experience an asset,
* Food Safe certificate and knowledge of health issues,
* CPR and First Aid Certificate is an asset,
* must have excellent people skills with a positive & Upbeat personality,
* desire to take ownership of tasks assigned and willingness to learn
* strong communication skills; ability to deal effectively with all levels of an organization
* second language is an asset.

* Please Note: In order to provide our guests with an exceptional and consistent level of service, we require team members that will commit to our lodge for the entire season approx. May 10th – October 8th.
